In hoc Signo vinces!

On the 27th October 312 on the eve of the battle of Ponte Milvio, Constantine the Great received two signs: a luminous cross in the sky and the Lord, who offered him victory against the Pagan Massenzio on condition that he put the monogram of Christ ‘X P’ (Chi Rho) on the shields of his soldiers, and recognizing himself as a tool in the hands of God.

He faithfully followed the signs, and Constantine achieved an incredible battle on the field, he put an end to the killing of Christians and placed the roots of Christian identity throughout Europe. The eagle, simble of the Roman legions, was abandoned and replaced with Christ’s name.

In hoc signo vinces” – “In this symbol you shall prevail” was what was written in the sky next to the cross, and Costantine saw and believed. God being the Almighty, the only ones who can limit His action in the world are ourselves, by neglecting His word.
